My kanzashi for the Art in the Garden event in Sheffield have been made and all that is left to do is photo them. Which will need me to clear the table I have been using as my workstation as it is the only surface that is close to a good natural light source.
I have to admit that I am getting very excited about this event and if the optimistic part of me is talking, it is telling me that it will be a great success. Of course the flip side of me says the opposite. Clearly I hope for the first outcome but like most things it is uncontrollable.
The flat that I am renting is finally full of my stuff that I want and I am slowly filling the kitchen with all the herbs, spices and utensils that I need to function properly. Of course my partner and I are occasionally finding things that are not working in the flats such as last night we discovered that the TV point in our bedroom is not connected properly to the aerial. It is not a major fault but it is annoying as we plan to have a TV in our room. Although the funniest thing about this fault is that when we put the plug end of the coaxial cable next the the railing outside our juliette balcony it actually improved the signal! This is not a solution I have to admit but it is amusing nonetheless.
And now the bad news.
At the beginning of this week I found out to my misery that I failed the two ACCA exams I took in June. I have sort of gotten over the failure but it still hurts deep down. In addition, I will need to start putting my name down at recruitment agencies and it is going to make it hard for me to explain why I have been unemployed for the last 9 months. If I had passed my exams then I would have something to show but now.......
Yes at some point I will need to join the employment workforce and that is not going to be fun after having 9 months of freedom. Although it has given me the time to think about what I have done and what I want from a job but will I get it?

I can't wait for the event too! It should be fun. Katie with her Japan Crafts stall will be there too, although because it is an art festival she will be in a different area than us. She said it's a good event. She said if we wear kimono we will get a lot of attention! Hopefully attention means sales! :)
Anything you need for your new apt.?
I'm sorry about the tests. Will you have an opportunity to retake the exams? Or would you consider it?
I don't think I need anything for the flat. I'm just missing the odd things like digital scales and large stainless mixing bowl but those will be brought when I need them. Oh and a Hellokitty maneki neko.
I am planning to retake one of the modules again in December.
